Cloud/Data Lake Engineer

We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer with proficiency in Snowflake, DBT, Jenkins, Docker, and Airflow to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing and implementing data pipelines, data warehousing solutions, and ETL workflows using AWS services and Snowflake. They will also have expertise in DBT for data transformation and modelling, as well as experience using Jenkins, Docker, and Airflow for deployment, automation, and workflow management. 

 

Tasks:
  • Design and implement data pipelines and ETL workflows using AWS services and Snowflake.
  • Develop and maintain data warehousing solutions on AWS and Snowflake.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Build and maintain efficient, scalable, and reliable data architectures for analytics and reporting.
  • Work closely with the data analytics team to optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval for reporting and analysis purposes.
  • Design and implement DBT models for data transformation and modelling.
  • Implement data quality checks and data validation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency of the data.
  • Use Jenkins, Docker, and Airflow to automate, deploy, and manage data pipelines and ETL workflows.
  • Maintain and update data documentation and data dictionaries.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner. 

 

Requirements:
  • At least 4 years of hands-on data engineering experience including 3 years with AWS and Snowflake.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Experience in implementing data pipelines and ETL workflows using AWS services such as S3, Glue, and Lambda.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and technologies.
  • Experience in DBT for data transformation and modelling.
  • Knowledge of data quality checks and validation processes.
  • Experience using Jenkins, Docker, and Airflow for deployment, automation, and workflow management.
  • Experience with other Cloud Providers (Azure, GCP) is nice to have.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • English level – minimum B2.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
